Custom ERP Development for Growing Operations
We build ERP systems that connect purchasing, inventory, production, sales and finance — tailored to your processes instead of forcing costly workarounds.
Why businesses choose custom ERP
Off-the-shelf ERP suites are powerful but generic. Many mid-sized companies end up paying for modules they do not use, customising heavily to fit their processes, and still running critical steps in spreadsheets. Custom ERP development makes sense when your operations have genuine specifics — make-to-order manufacturing, complex pricing, multi-warehouse distribution, regulatory traceability — that packaged systems handle poorly.
It is not always the right choice. If your processes are standard, a well-implemented packaged ERP may be cheaper over five years. We will tell you honestly which way we lean after discovery.
Modules we typically build
| Module | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Inventory and warehousing | Multi-location stock, bin locations, batch and serial tracking, stock counts, barcode scanning |
| Purchasing | Supplier catalogues, purchase orders, approvals, goods receipt, three-way matching |
| Sales and order management | Quotes, orders, customer-specific pricing, credit limits, dispatch |
| Production | Bills of materials, work orders, routing, capacity planning, shop-floor data capture |
| Finance integration | Invoicing, payments, cost tracking and sync to your accounting system |
| Reporting | Real-time dashboards for margin, stock value, lead times and on-time delivery |
Not every client needs every module. Many start with inventory and purchasing and add production or finance later. Our ready-made ERP software foundation can shorten delivery where it fits.
Phased delivery, not big-bang
ERP projects fail most often through scope and cutover risk. We reduce both by:
- Mapping current processes and agreeing the future state before building
- Releasing module by module, with each phase delivering value on its own
- Running parallel operation and reconciliation before switching off legacy systems
- Rehearsing data migration several times — opening stock, open orders, customers, suppliers
Our manufacturing ERP rollout project followed exactly this approach across three production sites.
Integration with what you keep
Custom ERP rarely replaces everything. We integrate with accounting packages, e-commerce platforms, shipping carriers, EDI partners, CRM systems and POS through well-documented APIs.
Technology
We build ERP systems on ASP.NET Core and SQL Server or PostgreSQL, with Angular or React front ends and mobile scanning apps for the warehouse. Deployment is on Azure, AWS or on-premises where connectivity or regulation requires it.

Technologies
Technology we use for this service
- ASP.NET Core
ASP.NET Core is our default framework for secure web applications and REST APIs: fast, cross-platform and well suited to complex business logic and integrations.
- SQL Server
SQL Server and Azure SQL power many of our ERP, POS and reporting systems, offering strong transactional integrity, rich tooling and tight integration with .NET.
- Angular
Angular development for large, form-heavy enterprise applications where consistent structure, strong typing and long-term maintainability across teams matter most.
- Microsoft Azure
We design, build and run applications on Microsoft Azure: App Service, containers, Azure SQL, Functions and Azure OpenAI, with security and cost control built in.
- .NET
We use Microsoft .NET to build fast, secure and maintainable business software: web APIs, ERP and POS back ends, background services and cross-platform apps.

What our clients say
We used to lose half a day's takings every time a store's broadband went down. Since the new tills went in, outages barely register, and head office can change a price at lunchtime and see it on every shelf-edge promotion by the afternoon.
Parents now have one app instead of four, and our office teams have stopped spending Monday mornings chasing absence calls. The migration was the part we worried about most, and the trial runs meant there were no surprises on go-live day.
The assistant resolves the repetitive how-do-I questions and hands everything else to us with a proper summary. Our agents spend their time on the tricky tickets now, and customers get answers at 2am without us adding a night shift.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is custom ERP more expensive than off-the-shelf ERP?
Up-front costs are usually higher, but there are no per-user licence fees and less customisation work. Over five to seven years, custom ERP is often comparable or cheaper for businesses with specialised processes. For standard processes, packaged ERP is often better value.
How long does custom ERP development take?
A first phase covering core modules such as inventory and purchasing typically goes live in 4–6 months. Full multi-module systems are usually delivered over 9–18 months in phases.
Can a custom ERP integrate with our accounting software?
Yes. We commonly integrate with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, or keep your existing ledger and sync invoices, payments and cost data automatically.
What happens to our data from the old system?
We extract, clean and migrate master data and open transactions, rehearsing the migration several times and reconciling results before go-live.
