Software solution

Inventory Management Software for Accurate, Multi-Location Stock

Know exactly what you have, where it is and when to reorder — across warehouses, stores and online channels.

What our inventory management software does

Inventory management software tracks every unit of stock from the moment it is ordered to the moment it leaves the building. Syntrix Inventory records goods-in, movements between locations, picks, sales and adjustments in real time, and uses that history to suggest what to reorder and when.

The goal is simple: fewer stock-outs, less money tied up in slow-moving products, and stock figures your team can trust without a weekend count.

Who it is for

  • Wholesalers and distributors with one or more warehouses and thousands of SKUs.
  • Retailers selling in store and online who need one stock figure across every channel.
  • Manufacturers managing raw materials, components and finished goods.
  • Businesses with regulated or traceable stock that need batch, lot, expiry or serial tracking.

Key capabilities

Multi-location stock

Warehouses, bins, stores and vans are all locations. Transfers are tracked in transit so stock never disappears between sites.

Barcode-driven workflows

Goods-in, put-away, picking, packing and stock counts run on handheld scanners or phones, cutting keying errors.

Purchasing and replenishment

Reorder points, min/max levels and demand-based suggestions generate draft purchase orders for review. Supplier lead times and pack sizes are taken into account.

Traceability

Batch, lot, expiry and serial numbers are captured at goods-in and followed through to the customer, making recalls and warranty checks straightforward.

Stock takes without shutting down

Cycle counts by zone or product class keep accuracy high without closing the warehouse for a full count.

Where it fits

Inventory can run on its own or as part of a wider system. Retailers often pair it with our POS software so store sales update stock instantly; manufacturers and distributors frequently use it as the stock engine inside our ERP software. Our logistics industry page covers warehouse-heavy use cases in more detail.

Implementation

We start by agreeing your location structure, product data and units of measure, then import opening stock, configure reorder rules and set up scanners. A pilot warehouse or store usually goes live first, followed by remaining sites. Where you need a bespoke workflow — for example kitting, cross-docking or 3PL billing — our custom software development team builds it on the same platform.

      Documentation

      Technical information & deployment

      Deployment options

The back office runs as a cloud web application on Azure or AWS. Warehouse apps run on Android handheld scanners, Android and iOS phones, or rugged tablets. Dedicated hosting in your own cloud subscription is available.

      Offline scanning

Warehouse apps queue scans locally when Wi-Fi coverage is patchy, then sync as soon as a connection is available — useful for yards, cold stores and large sheds.

      Data security

      • Role-based access for warehouse, purchasing, finance and management users.
      • Encryption in transit and at rest, daily backups and point-in-time restore.
      • Every stock movement is recorded with user, device, time and reason code.

      Technical information

ASP.NET Core APIs, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, React back office and cross-platform mobile apps. REST APIs and webhooks allow real-time stock updates to other systems.

        What our clients say

        • We used to lose half a day's takings every time a store's broadband went down. Since the new tills went in, outages barely register, and head office can change a price at lunchtime and see it on every shelf-edge promotion by the afternoon.

        • Parents now have one app instead of four, and our office teams have stopped spending Monday mornings chasing absence calls. The migration was the part we worried about most, and the trial runs meant there were no surprises on go-live day.

        • The assistant resolves the repetitive how-do-I questions and hands everything else to us with a proper summary. Our agents spend their time on the tricky tickets now, and customers get answers at 2am without us adding a night shift.

        FAQ

        Frequently asked questions

        • Can it manage stock across several warehouses and stores?

Yes. Every warehouse, store, bin or van is a location with its own stock. Transfers are tracked while in transit and confirmed on receipt, and reporting can be viewed per location or consolidated.

        • Which scanners and devices does it support?

The warehouse app runs on Android handheld scanners, standard Android and iOS phones, and tablets. Most common barcode formats are supported, including QR codes. We can advise on hardware if you are buying new devices.

        • Does it work with our POS and online store?

Yes. It integrates with our POS software and with common e-commerce platforms, so sales in every channel reduce the same stock figure. Other systems can connect through the REST API.

        • How does the system decide what to reorder?

You can use fixed reorder points, min/max levels or demand-based suggestions calculated from recent sales and supplier lead times. The system produces draft purchase orders for a buyer to review, so a person always makes the final decision.
