Software solution
POS Software Built Around the Way Your Stores Actually Sell
A fast, offline-capable point of sale platform for single shops and multi-store chains, configured to your products, pricing rules and hardware.
What our POS software does
Syntrix POS is a point of sale platform for retailers and hospitality businesses that have outgrown a basic till app. It handles the checkout itself — scanning, discounts, split tenders, returns and receipts — and connects that activity to stock, customers and reporting in real time, so head office and store managers work from the same numbers.
It is not a one-size-fits-all subscription. We configure the platform for each client and, where needed, extend it with custom modules. That matters when you have unusual pricing (weighted items, bundles, trade accounts), a specific receipt or fiscal requirement, or an existing ERP that the POS has to respect.
Who it is for
- Multi-store retailers that need central price and promotion control with store-level flexibility.
- Specialist and franchise retailers with complex product variants, serial numbers or age-restricted items.
- Cafés, quick-service and counter-service restaurants that need quick order entry and kitchen tickets (for full table service see our restaurant management software).
Key capabilities
Checkout that keeps working
The terminal stores transactions locally and syncs when the connection returns, so a dropped line never stops trade. Card payments run through your chosen integrated payment provider.
Stock and pricing in one place
Every sale updates stock across locations. Transfers, stock takes and reorder suggestions sit alongside the till rather than in a separate spreadsheet. If stock control is your main problem, pair it with our inventory management software.
Customers and loyalty
Capture customers at checkout, apply points or tiered discounts, and see purchase history without leaving the sale screen.
Reporting that store managers will use
Sales by hour, product, staff member and store, margin views and end-of-day cash-up, available on the back office dashboard and exportable to your accounting system.
How deployment works
- Discovery — we map your product catalogue, pricing rules, hardware and integrations.
- Configuration — tax, receipts, user roles, promotions and store structure are set up; custom modules are scoped separately.
- Pilot store — one location goes live first so staff feedback shapes the rollout.
- Rollout and training — remaining stores are migrated in waves with on-site or remote training.

Technical information & deployment
Deployment options
The back office is a web application hosted on Microsoft Azure or AWS, either in our managed environment or your own cloud subscription. Checkout runs as a browser-based or installable app on Windows terminals, Android tablets and iPads.
Offline operation
Each terminal keeps a local encrypted store of products, prices and pending transactions. When the connection drops, sales continue; when it returns, transactions sync in order and conflicts (for example the same item sold in two places) are flagged for review.
Data security
- Card data is handled by the payment provider's terminal; the POS never stores full card numbers.
- All traffic uses TLS; data at rest is encrypted.
- Role-based access and an audit log cover voids, refunds, discounts and price changes.
Technical stack
ASP.NET Core APIs, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and a React front end. A documented REST API is available for integrations.
Onboarding
We import products, customers and opening stock from spreadsheets or your current system, configure tax and receipts, and train store staff and managers. A pilot store typically goes live before the wider rollout.
Technology stack
- ASP.NET Core
ASP.NET Core is our default framework for secure web applications and REST APIs: fast, cross-platform and well suited to complex business logic and integrations.
- React
We build responsive, accessible React front ends for dashboards, portals and SaaS products, backed by clean APIs and a component library you can maintain.
- SQL Server
SQL Server and Azure SQL power many of our ERP, POS and reporting systems, offering strong transactional integrity, rich tooling and tight integration with .NET.
- Microsoft Azure
We design, build and run applications on Microsoft Azure: App Service, containers, Azure SQL, Functions and Azure OpenAI, with security and cost control built in.

What our clients say
We used to lose half a day's takings every time a store's broadband went down. Since the new tills went in, outages barely register, and head office can change a price at lunchtime and see it on every shelf-edge promotion by the afternoon.
Parents now have one app instead of four, and our office teams have stopped spending Monday mornings chasing absence calls. The migration was the part we worried about most, and the trial runs meant there were no surprises on go-live day.
The assistant resolves the repetitive how-do-I questions and hands everything else to us with a proper summary. Our agents spend their time on the tricky tickets now, and customers get answers at 2am without us adding a night shift.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does the POS keep working if the internet goes down?
Yes. Each terminal stores products, prices and sales locally and keeps trading offline. Transactions sync automatically when the connection returns, and any conflicts are flagged in the back office for review. Integrated card payments depend on your payment terminal's own offline capability.
Can we use our existing hardware?
In most cases, yes. The checkout runs on Windows PCs, Android tablets and iPads and supports standard receipt printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners. During discovery we check your current hardware and flag anything that would need replacing.
How long does it take to roll out across multiple stores?
A typical rollout starts with a single pilot store within a few weeks of discovery, followed by the remaining stores in waves. The overall timeline depends mainly on data migration, integrations and how many locations you have. See our guide on how to choose POS software for planning tips.
Can the POS integrate with our ERP or accounting system?
Yes. We integrate with common accounting packages and ERPs through their APIs, posting daily sales and tax summaries and syncing products and stock. If you need a deeper integration we scope it as part of POS development.
