ERP Software That Fits Your Processes, Not the Other Way Round

Connect finance, purchasing, stock, production and sales in one modular ERP platform, configured for mid-sized businesses and rolled out in manageable phases.

What our ERP software does

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software replaces the patchwork of spreadsheets, standalone accounting packages and email approvals that most growing businesses accumulate. Syntrix ERP gives you one database for customers, suppliers, products, orders, stock, production and finance, so a sales order automatically drives picking, invoicing and the general ledger.

Large ERP suites often force you to change how you work to fit the software. Our approach is different: a modular core that we configure around your existing processes, with custom modules where your business genuinely does something unusual.

Who it is for

  • Manufacturers and assemblers that need bills of materials, work orders and costing.
  • Distributors and wholesalers managing purchasing, multiple warehouses and trade pricing.
  • Service and project-based businesses that need job costing, timesheets and billing.

Businesses with 20 to a few hundred users get the most from it — large enough that disconnected tools hurt, small enough that a tier-one ERP is overkill.

Core modules

Finance

General ledger, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, multi-currency and management reporting.

Purchasing and inventory

Requisitions, purchase orders with approval rules, goods-in, multi-warehouse stock and valuation. For stock-heavy operations see our dedicated inventory management software.

Sales and order management

Quotes, sales orders, customer-specific pricing, credit limits and delivery scheduling, with an optional link to CRM software for the pipeline stage.

Production

Bills of materials, routings, work orders, material requirements planning and shop-floor data capture.

HR and payroll data

Employee records, leave and timesheets, feeding into payroll and job costing.

Phased implementation

Big-bang ERP launches are where most projects go wrong. We implement in phases — usually finance and purchasing first, then inventory and sales, then production — so each phase delivers value and the team adapts gradually. Our manufacturing ERP rollout shows what this looks like in practice.

If you are unsure whether you need an ERP or a CRM first, our article on ERP vs CRM sets out the differences clearly.

Licence or custom build

Most clients license the configured platform. Where your processes are the competitive advantage, our ERP development team builds bespoke modules on the same core, so you never end up maintaining a fork.

Next step

Request a demo and we will walk a real order through quote, purchase, production, delivery and invoice, then map which modules and phases would suit your business.

      Documentation

      Technical information & deployment

      Deployment options

Syntrix ERP is a cloud web application hosted on Microsoft Azure or AWS — in our managed environment or your own subscription. Private cloud deployment is available for organisations with strict data residency requirements.

      Architecture and technology

Built with ASP.NET Core and C#, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and a React front end. Modules share a common data model, so there is no duplication between sales, stock and finance. A REST API and webhook events support integrations.

      Data security

      • Single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID or other identity providers, plus multi-factor authentication.
      • Role- and entity-based permissions down to field level for sensitive financial data.
      • Encryption in transit and at rest, point-in-time database backups and a full audit trail.

      Data migration

We migrate master data (customers, suppliers, products, chart of accounts) and opening balances, and agree with you how much transactional history to bring across. Trial migrations are reconciled with your finance team before cut-over.

      Onboarding

Each phase includes process workshops, configuration, user acceptance testing, role-based training and a hypercare period after go-live. Key users are trained to support colleagues internally.

        What our clients say

        • We used to lose half a day's takings every time a store's broadband went down. Since the new tills went in, outages barely register, and head office can change a price at lunchtime and see it on every shelf-edge promotion by the afternoon.

        • Parents now have one app instead of four, and our office teams have stopped spending Monday mornings chasing absence calls. The migration was the part we worried about most, and the trial runs meant there were no surprises on go-live day.

        • The assistant resolves the repetitive how-do-I questions and hands everything else to us with a proper summary. Our agents spend their time on the tricky tickets now, and customers get answers at 2am without us adding a night shift.

        FAQ

        Frequently asked questions

        • How long does an ERP implementation take?

It depends on the modules, data quality and number of sites. We implement in phases, and a first phase such as finance and purchasing typically takes a few months from discovery to go-live. Later phases build on that foundation, so each one is shorter and lower risk.

        • Do we need an ERP or a CRM?

An ERP runs operations and finance — orders, stock, production and accounting — while a CRM manages the sales pipeline and customer relationships. Many businesses eventually need both, connected. Our article on ERP vs CRM explains how to decide which comes first.

        • Can the ERP be customised to our processes?

Yes. Most requirements are met through configuration — workflows, approval rules, fields and reports. Where you need something genuinely unique, we build custom modules on the same core so upgrades remain straightforward. See ERP development for bespoke work.

        • What happens to our existing accounting data?

We migrate your chart of accounts, open balances and master data, and agree how much history to bring across. Trial migrations are reconciled with your finance team before cut-over, and the old system can stay read-only for reference.
