AWS Cloud Application Development

We design, deploy and run scalable applications on AWS, using managed services to reduce operational effort and keep costs predictable.

Amazon Web Services is the largest public cloud platform, with a very broad range of managed services. Many of our clients already run workloads on AWS, and we build .NET, Node and Python applications there using the same engineering standards we apply everywhere.

What we build and run on AWS

  • Containerised web apps and APIs on ECS with Fargate, or on EKS
  • Serverless back ends with Lambda, API Gateway and EventBridge
  • Relational data on Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and Aurora
  • File and media storage with S3 and CloudFront
  • AI features using Amazon Bedrock, including access to models such as Claude

How we work on AWS

  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform or AWS CDK
  • Least-privilege IAM roles, secrets in Secrets Manager, and private subnets for data
  • Monitoring with CloudWatch metrics, logs and alarms
  • Cost awareness – Graviton instances, autoscaling, storage lifecycle rules and budget alerts

When AWS is the right choice

AWS is a natural fit if your organisation already uses it, needs its breadth of services, or wants to use Bedrock for AI models. For teams centred on Microsoft identity and tooling, Azure may integrate more smoothly. We are cloud-pragmatic: the right platform is usually the one your team can operate confidently. See our cloud application development service for migration and build options.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

    • Do you run .NET applications on AWS?

Yes. Modern .NET runs very well on AWS in Linux containers on ECS or EKS, and as Lambda functions. We use RDS for SQL Server or PostgreSQL depending on licensing and requirements.

    • Should we use serverless or containers on AWS?

Serverless suits spiky, event-driven workloads and small services; containers suit steady traffic and larger applications. Many systems use both, and we recommend based on load patterns and cost.
