.NET MAUI App Development in C#

We build cross-platform mobile and desktop apps with .NET MAUI, sharing C# code and skills with your existing .NET back end.

.NET Multi-platform App UI (.NET MAUI) is Microsoft's framework for building native apps for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS from a single C# codebase. It is the successor to Xamarin.Forms and uses native platform controls under the hood.

What we build with .NET MAUI

  • Line-of-business apps for field staff, inspections and stock counts
  • Tablet-based POS and kiosk apps, including Windows devices
  • Companion apps for ERP and CRM systems built on .NET
  • Migrations of existing Xamarin.Forms apps, which are no longer supported

Why choose it

  • Shared language and code – models, validation and API clients can be shared with your ASP.NET Core back end.
  • Desktop as well as mobile – one project can target Windows and macOS, useful for back-office and POS scenarios.
  • Native controls – apps respect platform conventions and accessibility settings.
  • Microsoft support – part of the .NET release cycle with long-term support versions.

When .NET MAUI is the right choice

.NET MAUI suits organisations already invested in C# and .NET, internal or B2B apps where Windows desktop matters, and Xamarin migrations. For consumer apps where highly customised, animated UI is central to the brand, Flutter is often the stronger option. We will recommend honestly based on your team, audience and devices; see our mobile app development service for how we approach the decision.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

    • Should we migrate from Xamarin.Forms to .NET MAUI?

Yes, if the app is still in use. Xamarin support has ended, so apps will fall behind new OS and store requirements. Migration to .NET MAUI reuses much of the existing C# code and XAML.

    • Should we choose .NET MAUI or Flutter?

Choose .NET MAUI if your team works in C#, you need Windows desktop support, or you want to share code with a .NET back end. Choose Flutter for highly custom consumer UI and the widest community ecosystem.
